Practicing good body hygiene helps you feel good about yourself and has been proven to boost self-confidence. Most people hate to be talked about, especially in a negative manner. By ensuring that our body is clean and well presented, we are more assured of projecting a positive body image that reflects our personalities.
This past BOSS Saturday, our students were joined by Gentlemen Under Construction founder Christopher Jolivette who shared tips his insight and tips to help the boys better manage their hygiene, their expectation and their own personal responsibility around personal hygiene. Chris played high school basketball but chose the US Navy over scholarships to Nickel State and Southern University. While enlisted, Chris was a member of the All Navy basketball team. Chris moved on to coaching following his military service and continues to coach and train all levels of players.
Each of our BOSS students received their personal hygiene kit, including male deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, male hygiene wipes, hand sanitizer, a travel bag, an instructional MALE FACTS card, a How to Tie a Bow Tie card and a tie or bow tie.
